Dg Jax and I have been DMing back and forth for almost a year now. His kinetic flows and unique songwriting method has my head bobbing. Check this profile interview with Chattanooga’s own.

Who is Dg Jax? Has your MC name changed since you started?
Jax: dg Jax is a hoe snatching, no cappin, soul blastin, rapper from Chattanooga TN. My name has stayed the same since.

What got you into music?
Jax:  I started freestyling in school. I think it’s cool that I can bring emotions out of people by using words.

Who inspires you?
Jax: Any and everything.

What genre/genre style would you say you fit in?
Jax: I don’t know right now to be honest. I just say how I be feeling.

What are your impulses to write about?
Jax: I don’t write.

What is your creative process like.
Jax: Be in complete solitude and play the beat I like 200+ times in a row until I form the whole song in my head.

Who do you make music for?
Jax: I make music because I have a mission I gotta accomplish.

What has been a challenge for you in your music journey?
Jax: Trying to be consistently on the internet even though I dislike social media.

What has been a defining moment of your music journey?
Jax: When I realized music was the only way to obtain my goal.
