Braggadocious rapper, actor, dancer TyKoon Savy is a multi-talented artist with a passion for craft and a heart of music. Here’s a profile piece getting to know the Chattanooga rapper.

Who is TyKoon Savy? Has your name ever changed?
TyKoon: I’m an artist who loves his craft. I’ve always been raised to be me and grow my talents. I used to go by Jpizzle lol.

What are your impulses to write about?
TyKoon: Honestly I love turn up and brag songs but sometimes the heart needs something deeper and that usually happens randomly for me.

What/who inspires you?
TyKoon: Andre 3000, Wyclef Jean, Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, and Michael Jackson

Do you have any passions outside of music?
TyKoon: I actually love to act and dance as well. I’ve been acting since age 4 and want a career in it.

Do you prefer collaboration or solo work?
TyKoon: Collaboration honestly, it feels great.

What is a moment in your musical career you have enjoyed recently?
TyKoon:  I really enjoy any time I’m on stage. A lot of artists enjoy studio more but being on stage I feel more comfortable and at home.

What genre would you place yourself in?
TyKoon: Rap for sure, but I dabble in some singing.

What does your process look like?
TyKoon: Find a beat I love and let the words come.  Usually I freestlye with flows because freestyling is my favorite part of rap.

What is a project you’d like readers to check out right now?
TyKoon: I’m actually working on a new album called “Hell Week” but all my stuff on SoundCloud and YouTube at TyKoon Savy

TyKoon: Some advice: reach for the highest possible situation for yourself and don’t ever sell yourself short.
